Installed at the wall-to-ceiling junction at the correct spring angle. MDF is a paint-only material. It does not accept stain and must be kept dry -- do not install in bathrooms or high-humidity areas.

Pro Tips

• Position crown upside down and backwards in the mitre saw -- ceiling edge flat on the saw table, wall edge against the fence. This is the correct cutting position for compound mitres.
• Apply two coats of quality interior latex paint in satin or semi-gloss directly over the factory primer. Seal all cut edges with primer before painting -- exposed MDF edges absorb paint unevenly.
• Nail crown into both wall studs and ceiling joists for a secure installation. Use a stud finder to locate both.
